Simpad packaging is made to cushion fragile products that are easily susceptible to damage during shipping, in order to reduce breakage. But it only works if the product is packed properly in conjunction with the Simpad. Here are a few tips you need to know to use Simpad packaging properly.
A great analogy we use for the Simpad is as if you were baking a pie. When you bake a pie, lay the pie crust across the pie plate, and gently push it in, forming it to the sides of the plate. Give it some gentle coaching, and you can get the crust to conform to the shape.
When you are packing with Simpads, lay the packaging across the top of the box, place the item into the middle, and push straight down. This will cause the packaging to slid along the sides of the box. Some gentle coaching will get the Simpad to conform to the proper shape too.
Then, you will grab the sides of the packaging, and fold it over the product, to provide cushioning on top. Or in some cases, you may even need to add another Simpad over the top, just like you sometimes lay another pie crust over the top of a filled pie. It all depends on the size of the product, the size of the Simpad packaging, and the total shipping procedure.
Another packing method is to wrap the product inside the Simpad, and then place it inside the box. Depending on how your shipping and packing process is set up, this may be the easiest way to pac,, rather than the pie plate method. But again, you have to make sure the product and Simpad fit snugly inside the box, otherwise, too much room can lead to possible damage. Remember, we want a tight fit.
The benefit of using Simpads is that it can actually simplify the packing process, helping you pack and ship more boxes per hour, which can reduce shipping costs. For more information, contact Simpak at (502) 208-7540.
